What we would do with your information, and what this demo actually does
Short version: this site is a demonstration, the forms do not submit anywhere, and nothing you type is stored or transmitted.
This is a demonstration site
Hearth Home Comfort is not a real company. This website exists to demonstrate a design and build approach. The booking form and the tune-up reminder form validate your input in your own browser and then show you a confirmation message. Nothing is sent to a server, nothing is written to a database, and nothing is emailed to anybody. Refreshing the page discards it.
There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, no session recording, no chat widget and no third-party embed on any page of this site. The only network requests it makes are for its own fonts, images, stylesheet and scripts, all served from the same origin.
The site sets no cookies and writes nothing to local storage.
What a real version of this policy would cover
For completeness, and because a privacy page with nothing in it is not a useful demonstration, here is the shape a genuine policy for a residential HVAC company would take.
Information collected
- Contact details you provide: name, phone number, email address and service address
- Details about the job: the equipment in the property, what is wrong with it, and access notes
- Service history: visits made, work performed, readings taken and parts fitted
- Payment information, handled by a payment processor rather than stored by the contractor
Why it would be held
- To schedule and carry out the work you asked for
- To maintain a service history, which is genuinely useful when diagnosing a system years later
- To meet permit, licensing and warranty record-keeping obligations
- To send the seasonal reminder, if and only if you asked for it
Who it would be shared with
Equipment manufacturers for warranty registration, the utility for rebate processing when you ask us to file on your behalf, the permitting authority, and a payment processor. It would not be sold, and it would not be shared with lead-generation companies or advertising networks.
How long it would be kept
Service records for the working life of the equipment plus the statutory retention period. Marketing contact details until you unsubscribe, which would be a single link in every message rather than a phone call.
Your rights
To ask what is held about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted where there is no legal obligation to retain it. In a real policy this section would name the applicable state law and give a response timeframe and a named contact.
